EGR Removal | Exhaust Gas Recirculation Delete
Increasingly owners are asking their tuners to removing the troublesome EGR valves from cars, vans and trucks. Many of these EGR valves are very expensive and often need to be replaced several times in a vehicle's life time.
Advantages of removing EGR
- No more costly replacement of the EGR valve
- Increases reliability - when EGR problems occur they can leave the vehicle undriveable
- Cleaner Engine - stops carbon build-up in intake manifolds and cylinder heads
- Increases power when combined with a remap
Our soulution
You cannot just remove or block the EGR valve on modern vehicles without disabling it in the ECU. Often the ECU will monitor the position of the EGR and the flow of gas through it, simply removing the ECU will normally bring on the engine light and cause the vehicle to run in limp home mode. We can completely disable the EGR functionality from the ECU as part of a tuning package or just to remove the troublesome EGR valve.
